Superheroes shouldn't be allowed to procreate with normal people

There’s a new buzz around the upcoming Superman movie directed by James Gunn. This reminds me of how we all used to be so excited about Marvel movies. Since Avengers: Endgame, I’ve noticed that excitement gradually fading away. Why is that happening? Maybe we’re tired of the same formula. Have the movies become too monotonous? Or have we reached superhero movie saturation? There could be many reasons.
I don’t follow Marvel movie releases anymore. Why? Because my curiosity is gone. I mean, what new can they possibly offer?
Good guy beats bad guy. That’s it.
As we grow older, our morals become more complex, and we no longer see the world as a simple good guy vs. bad guy narrative.
Another reason Marvel seems to be losing steam is that the new generation has the attention span of a goldfish. Following a movie series that spans over a decade isn’t something they’re likely to do.
Marvel should have focused more on individual superhero movies instead of creating a vast interconnected universe. Look at Deadpool - it’s doing great. Why? Because it’s R-rated, edgy, and gore-filled. Marvel also has X-Men, but they’re not using that franchise to its full potential. There’s so much cool stuff they could do with it.
DC, on the other hand, already fumbled and lost to Marvel in creating a cinematic universe. But what they’re doing now with standalone superhero stories is working. You don’t need to connect everything. Just let the characters exist independently. Thor doesn’t need to meet Captain America. Superman doesn’t need to fight a "puny" Batman. Let Superman fight his own enemies, and let Batman deal with the Joker.
We also don’t need social commentary in superhero movies. Let the white guy fight the white guy. If you want the plot to prove some social justice then maybe make another movie that does that.
Bringing Robert Downey Jr. back won’t help restore Marvel’s popularity. Maybe it’s time to try something new. I love RDJ, but let Iron Man’s legacy rest. Why tarnish what’s already iconic?
A lot of cinema purists complain that Marvel movies aren’t “real cinema.” But the thing is, they’re not supposed to be. They’re meant to entertain and bring joy.
That said, a fresh direction is needed.
I might be wrong, but these are my thoughts on the current superhero movie landscape.
