What do you wanna do fren
V
I am still deciding what should I write here.

I read books, and my end goal is to open a big library, amass a lot of knowledge and then help police to solve impossible crimes committed by sharp villains. You know like a knowledgeable wise librarian helping police to solve crimes, would make for a good series no?

The thing is most criminals are dumb :P Sorry criminals. Actually crimes are dumb, but maybe I am talking about the ones committed due to desperation, there are organised crimes that are far more sophisticated and even the best police people cannot solve them. Actually they know that crime is being committed but in our society you have to gather evidence and there are rules for it so they are handicapped. Kinda.

Sounds nice right?

I feel everyone should know deep down in their souls what they wanna do. At some point I wanted to open a farm, get some goats, sheep, cows and other domestic animals, grow veggies, or grains, and have a more satisfied life. But farming is hard, I think I will open a farm when things get automated. Not all, but some kind of automation is needed. My farm will run on science, the science of soil and all that. I won't be slaughtering animals, they can live on the farm and have a great life. I will also take in strays, I love animals. Maybe at some point I will build a horse barn. I'll convert my farm into a visitor friendly place so that people can learn about farming and everything that comes with it. I'd like to be financially free to do this, cannot be stressing about profits, this will be a side quest. Breaking even is also a good outcome. We will use science to have high yields, and then use the money from profits to make more science related discoveries, and help other farmers.

So a librarian who owns a farm, wow nice.

You realise how wain your job was when it gets automated, once you realise that you are free, you are liberated from the shackles, you become an actually free man.

We all had dreams and aspirations while growing up. But for some the aspiration was to climb the financial ladder and get some upward mobility. In America a lot of kids can follow their dreams or what not. In India, if you are rich, sure, follow your dreams. I was okay with becoming a hair dresser when I was a kid. But being a hair dresser doesn't really come with a lot of financial incentive.

We all wanted to be astronauts? No? Power Rangers, yes. Get an omnitrix, wow. Now most of us are working in corporate and writing emails and code. I am not saying it is bad, but it is not an outcome most of us expected? Or did we? I think it beats going door to door to sell carpets in this heat. Everyone wants more from their life. I think farming is the most satisfying occupation.

I also want to build space rockets and satellites and help humanity become multi planetary species. But in this world we cannot just change occupations. Maybe in the future when the world becomes more abundant we will be able to easily change our professions and do whatever we want. Again, if you are rich then you can do all these things. Just message the CEO and say that you will work for free. :P

We all would be happy if we could just build anything, like Phineas and Ferb did.

What do you wanna become?

I think this is the second time I am asking this.

It's okay you can think about it, I am not trying to put you in an awkward situation.

World will not collapse if you want to do things that don't align financially.

When AI takes over your job, you will realise how wain it was to being with. And AI will take over your job, it is not an 'if' it is a 'when'. Society will change, sure. Maybe one will be free to choose what they want to do. The occupations will still come with strings attached. But with AI I think the scenarios will be more levelled. You will be at equal footing. Remember how god made human, but guns made them equal? Right.

You know I think I want to become the wise owl, you have read Jungle stories, right? There is always a wise owl who knows everything. I want to know everything. Mind Palace, woot, woot. Just so I can shell out advice. Hahahah. Cool.

These aren't unrealistic expectations, one can have such expectations from life, expectations lead to heartache, sure, but life without aspirations and expectations is boring. Life needs a constant anchor that causes anxiety. Ehhe. Or not.

I love watching Clarksons Farm, The Grand Tour, Psych and reading Sherlock Holmes, Discworld etc. my aspirations are shaped by them. Aspirations. Maybe with AI taking over your work, it will give you a chance to take a step forward to build up on your aspirations, no more anti-risk taking behaviour, you will have to take risk otherwise life will be boring plus you will be poor :P Permanent Underclass as they say in some circles. Life will settle though, the dust always settles, but you gotta come out on the other side victorious. Don't worry, be happy.
