This Blog Started With an Ant Bite

I am still deciding what should I write here.

I woke up with a swollen eye, my first reaction was of curiousity, curious about who messed with my eye. Then I faintly remembered that at night something bit my on the eye, not the eye eye, the eye lid, and I remember crushing that thing with my powerful claws (palms). I am positive that it was an ant. Small red ant. I killed it and got my revenge. But should I be declaring war on all the ant species? That would be an over reaction. Going to television interviews and giving speeches against ant species would also be an over reaction. A man needs to be rational about revenge. My eye is still swollen, I have taken an anti allergic. Do not worry about me.

Anyway, talking about criticism, it is a necessary pillar of society, everyone should be able to criticise everyone. This is how society works. Criticism followed by data points that boost that criticism is always a good strategy. But we all know data can be cherry-picked. Is criticism annoying? Yes. Is it necessary? Yes.

You might get irked when people keep criticising things, like the movie critics, I mean if you have made a movie then you have a right to criticise another movie, but a lot of people are just critics, they haven't built anything, and yet they criticise. It is annoying. But one cannot stop it. It would be immoral. Like I can comment on defence policies but I haven't ever made a defence policy. But it is my right to comment on it. We live in a free society and criticism is one of the perks.

It does get a bit boring at times, like criticising just for the sake of it, like the opposition party, opposing anything and everything. The Great Nicobar Island projects makes my point here. People opposing it because of tree cutting is just lazy opposition. Trees can be regrown, ecosystems can be built from scratch. Nature heals itself. We humans are too superiority pilled with the belief that "we have to save nature", bro you don't have to save anything. Nature will save itself. Nature is a living organism, it will always heal, and it will always destroy what needs destruction. So you get where I stand on this issue, right? ehehe. But yeah criticism is a perk, so do it as much as you can. As a rational being you should know where to stop.

There is always an off ramp with criticism, you can change your views, and that's perfectly fine. When criticising a product of your friend, call it feedback with points on how to improve. It will help your friendship. Nobody likes a friend who just keeps whining and not providing solution. Men usually hate that or so I have been told. Do women hate it? I don't know. I have never talked to a woman before.

Criticism is a two way street, if you are criticising someone then you should be open to receiving criticism. You cannot be like "oh I did this that's why they are doing that", it doesn't work that way. Never has, never will. Doing something and then when that something happens to you, you start crying. Boo hooo. Take it like a man. (Patriarchial, but I don't know how to better write this)

I am kind of running out of thoughts.

This reminds me of a story, when I was a kid, my mom made a dish, which I criticised, me being a free citizen of Earth and all, after that my mom only made Karela, Taroi, Tinda and all that. It was my own reckoning. So you should be smart enough to know when to say things, not just blabber anything anywhere.

But this story sounds like I am telling you to not to speak to power and never to revolt. Well, never do it in front of your mother. Mothers are all powerful beings. Right now, I don't know where this blog is going and what it is saying. I started with criticism being a right and now I am saying be smart about what you say and where you say it. :(

In some countries if you criticise the supreme leader you get thrown into jail.

Just saying.

I am a bit confused by the fact that this exists even in 21st century. This makes me wonder. Just makes me wonder. Wonder about what? I dunno. Just Wonder. One would think that the people would rebel, but nope. We overestimate humans, especially a group of humans.

There are many ways for you to get yourself noticed, standing in front of Govt offices with a placard does work. But these are risks, so either your demands will be heard and met, or you will find yourself being beaten up in jail. Turns out, criticism has consequences. Who knew? Like I said, risk.

The free society gives you a right to criticise, but it doesn't protect you from it, nor it should. You tweet something edgy, it blows up, now you’re explaining context to strangers for 3 days. It is what it is. Why should you be able to throw rocks at people, but when people do it to you, then you cry about it. Thinking before speaking is a good rule of thumb, I don't really think before I speak, why? Because if I say something else, then I have to keep the charade going and it is mentally tiring. I just say what I think and be done with it. No baggage.

The world is changing fast, internet has given everyone a platform to criticise and all that. All voices heard and things like that. It makes the world a bit more chaotic, but things sort themselves out. The world will sort its issues. The world is also a living being. Given that India is going through a heat wave, one should not say things in the heat of the moment. Simple advice. Follow or not your choice.

If you liked my writing then it is a good possibility that you will like me too. I am looking to get married and searching for a supportive and good natured bride. If you are also searching for the same in a groom, then do shoot me a DM.
