The Foundation series is written by Isaac Asimov and has won the Hugo award.
If I were writing this review after reading the first 4 books, I'd have a different opinion about the series. In he 5th and 6th books, the ending seemed a bit off. The journey and the mystery were awesome and had my attention, but the ending of the series didn't really make me feel content.
You have that feeling, right? When you are reading a long series and the ending just makes it worth it? You feel fulfilled? Yeah, I didn't get that feeling here.
The first 4 books were awesome; the story, the journey, everything was in line with a singular plot. But in the 5th and 6th books, the plot took a sharp right turn and it didn't fit well with the image that I had created in my mind of where this story would lead me.
The books are well-written, well-articulated, and should be on every sci-fi enthusiast's reading list.
There are a lot of new ideas in the book, and they are elaborated to fit the narrative.
There is not much doom and gloom; there is mystery, there is suspense, there is a sense of accomplishment.
This is just my opinion. To make a decision, please read other opinions as well.
My rating: 4/5
